We should be flying out next week. The accommodation is said to be ready. The classrooms aren't. Another Teacher (hereinafter AT) has been recruited and is set to get her visa in double-quick time and fly out with the rest of us.
The last six weeks have been hard on the nerves, never knowing if you're flying out out from one week to the next, flights booked and several times delayed.
The plus side is, because I don't intend to spend much time in Blighty during the contract, I've been going out of my way to spend time with family and friends, seeing them "one last time"; and then "really, this is the last time"; and then "let's go out for a last drink - no really, I am going next week..."
All I need now is a hat to keep the sun off.
Inshallah, next post will be from HUDC.
